Ethnocentrism
Ethnocentrism
In the most in every society there are an ethnocentrism, it divided to many isms will explain five samples of isms and they are Racism, Ageism, Classism, Sexism, and Ableism, that means the society divided between the people by specific ism.
However, first, the Racism is the society divided between the people depends on the skin color, values, nationality and qualities. We can see this kind in many places in the world for example in USA the racism between the white and black people, also in UAE in the work there are some racism by the nationality.
Second, the Ageism is discrimination or unfair treatment based on a person’s age. Also that happen the workplace (experience) the people divided between the people by the age also in UAE sometime especially in the Majles the old people always true and if said something wrong.
Third, the Classism is distinctions made between social or economic classes. It's spread too much in India, there are three class of people start from the poor to the rich class, and the society deal together depend in your class.
Fourth, the Sexism Is distinguished on the basis of gender and inequality men and women and the benefits received by the man without a woman or vice Vera. Moreover, the clearest example is India and Asia like China and Thailand, because you can how they are divided between women and men especially in the work and study, also before in the UAE before the united.
Fifth, the Ableism is a discrimination or social prejudice against people with disabilities. This kind of ism is scarce to find it because it depend in the behavior of the society.
In conclusion, the ethnocentrism is a dangerous think and a big problem so should every country elimination on the isms because it's the basic of the most problem in the world, in the UAE the isms is not spread too much and that from the people of the UAE.
Cultural Diversity Course Reflection
Cultural Diversity Course
Reflection
They
are many subjects in my semester and one of this subject is my Cultural
Diversity, before start the cultural diversity subject I think it’s hard and no
benefits from this subject because it's just talk about culture and I think our
culture is the best in the world. However, after studying this subject and my
teacher explain the component of the course I understand it's too much
important for us, especially in my country because many cultures from the world
meeting in my country.
We take many classes in this course but of
course there are some classes different from other, like when saw the movie
about Todd that’s very interesting because its learn us many think in same
time, give us an example of cultural diversity when it talk about USA and India
cultures. Also, the first class in the course is different because it was the
first class in the semester, so we meet each other at first time and the most
didn't know the other. Moreover, I had a sense that the class we present a
presentation is different because it was the first time in the semester work in
team like one person and every one responsible about this presentation.
It's too important to learn this subject
because it show how the world is different and there are many cultures in the
world and they are not same, however this learn us about the other cultures and
every one should know about other culture to increase their knowledge and know
how to deal with the other, don’t forget UAE is cultures meeting place.
There are no specific age to learn them this
subject, because it's cultural subject and every one should learn it for the
knowledge, when this apply in the young people they get the information clear
and understand more, so the society will be elegant.
Some country have a harmony day like Australia and Singapore each year, imagine if UAE doing harmony day the
society will be happy more, and that make a thick relations between the people and
the people will celebrated like the national day.
In
conclusion, UAE is a famous region in the gulf of cultures meeting place so its
very important for the society to study like Cultural Diversity subject because
it helpful to know about the other.

Outsourced "Reflection"
Outsourced "Reflection"
Every country have their culture and it different from place
to other place, in this reflection will see the outsourced and how the expat
person shock from other the culture so this reflection will talk about movie, its
compare between USA and India Cultural Dimensions and how they are too
different also will give examples from the movie of Hofstadter Power Distance and Individualism.
The main character named Todd and he work in company in USA and
his boss want to transfer him to other branch in India with out take by him
opinion so that he traveled to India, while he moving to India he think their
culture will be the same culture of USA and the people are develop, so when he
reach India he shock when see what happen in airport and how people live their,
after that he want to back to USA and
care one more day in India but the boss ignore him when he called him. How ever,
Todd see no way to back to USA so he try to adapt with the people their, first
two days at the work Todd didn't make any success because he not discuss with
staffs like USA style in work (no discuss with the boss) so after that he make
meeting with the staffs and then make success. That main the USA culture is
high power distance because it show us the people in that culture is not equal
and the most time you can't discuss with your boss just do it what he say. How
ever, in India we see the opposite of what see in USA, in India in general the
people there are work as equal so they discuss with each other and see that
when Todd make a success with his staffs because of discuss and the staffs can
talk with their boss. Moreover, the USA society individualism society so
we know that from the boss when he take him decision to moving Todd to India so
this society loose the connection with each other and weak sharing of responsibilities in the country.
While in India so the collectivism
society, so always they work as a group and
large amount of loyalty and respect for members of the group.
In the end, the boss for Todd visit India to meet Todd and ask him should travel to china without discuss, so Todd
shock because the high power distance is back.

Reflection for Emirati film
Reflection for Emirati film
First of all, we start the film by following the rubric
and divided the work between the team, so as a start it’s good start and we
think it’s hard for us to do it, because that was the first time we doing a
film. Moreover, I take three parts in the film and they are “Explain your Emirati culture by
describing the use of at least four cultural artifacts”, “Reflect on how
much Emirati culture has changed in forty years” and “Ask some tourists about what their culture
is most famous for”, so the interview is the hardest thing because when I
make the interview with the tourist I find that they not now English and
sometime they not understand the question well. However, the good in this experience
is taught as how to break the shy cover and that’s very important, also work as
a team and follows the leader. On the other hand, the bad thing is not all the
team present well for the film especially the information and psychosomatic. In
the final, I learn many things from this experience and give a hope to doing
better next time, and think in what should add it to the film to make it
perfect.
