Class
Divided – Blue Eyes, Brown Eyes
Well this movie is about a class of 6th graders
educated on how to not identify between white and black people. And it take in USA
with Ms. Jane Elliott's, in 1970. In addition, 1968 is
important because it was the year when the black people got their freedom after
all the revolutions, the civil wars and the fighting.
The teacher
divided the class to two groups depend on eyes color if it's brown or blue, so
in first day blue
eye people are the better and smarter people who get so many advantages while the brown
eye people are the low class ones who are slow and don’t get any benefits and
the rest treat them badly. The second
day the scales flipped so the brown eye people get to be the better
ones. During the two days you can
see how the experiment affects the students in so many ways, the way they act,
their studies and the way the treat each other.
In final,
the students understood should don't separate between the people who have
different religion or language or anything, so the result is the students
promise their teacher to treat everyone equal.
I think the teacher plan successful,
because she reached the idea to her students and let them to live the problem,
so it like to build a small society in classroom. In such an age you can only
get the truth and honest point view on how would a person feel if he will be
judge by others?
